Morning session: European Framework for Safer Mobile Use by Younger Teenagers and Children
In February 2008, in Brussels, based on the initiative of the EC a self-regulation agreement focused on youth protection was signed by mobile operators.
- What are the results after two years, self-regulation and censorship – those topics will be in the centre of the morning session.
Among invited speakers are representatives of: EU and Czech mobile operators, European Commission, and the Czech regulator.
Afternoon session: Safer Social Networking Principles for the EU
In February 2009, in Brussels, based on the initiative of the EC, an agreement between internet social network providers (Bebo, Facebook, Google, Microsoft Europe, MySpace, Yahoo! Europe, etc.) was signed concerning the principles ensuring safer social networking.
- What are the consequences? What response in the Czech Republic?
Among invited speakers are representatives of Microsoft, Insafe, Mijnkindonline, E-Bezpeci, etc.
Final session: Computer crime and protection of a child
(ISPs, content providers, mobile operators, financial institutions, law enforcement agencies)
Taking care about a concrete child is the main focus of the session. Not generalisation but tangible steps, cases, individuals, etc. Each thematic session will be finished by a panel discussion where speakers can answer questions and specify in more details his position.
The final panel of the conference will give floor to representatives of police, financial institutions, CSIRT, internet hotline and emergency teams to discuss concrete experiences and cases of the protection of a child online, the hottest issues of the cybercrime related to children and youths.
